Liposuction
A technique used to remove unwanted fat deposits from superficial areas of the body, including the chin, neck, and cheeks; the upper arms and upper breasts; the abdomen, buttocks, hips, thighs, and knees. Liposuction is not used as a substitute for weight loss, but rather as a method to remove localized fat that is not easily removed by other means.
If the procedure is not extensive, liposuction may be performed under local anesthesia, which numbs the area, combined with sedation to make you feel somewhat relaxed. You will be awake but relaxed and experience minimal discomfort. If suctioning a large area or treating multiple locations is planned, you will likely need general anesthesia. A one-day hospital stay is usually required.
Abdominoplasty
A surgical procedure that involves completely reshaping the abdomen and waist. The best candidates for this surgery are women who have had one or more pregnancies or who have lost a lot of weight.
The procedure is performed under general or regional anesthesia and consists of five main steps:
- Dermolipectomy, which involves removing all excess skin and fat from the abdomen, the so-called abdominal apron.
- The abdominal wall is reconstructed by using sutures to join the rectus abdominis muscles.
- Skin closure: suturing the flap of skin that has formed.
- Neoumbilicoplasty: Repositioning the navel
- Finally, and if necessary, liposuction of the flanks and hips, which reshapes the body contour.
Liposculpture
It is known as no-scalpel surgery because it does not involve plastic surgery, but it shapes the body while eliminating the volumes of fat that disfigure it. It is indicated for young people who, despite having an apparently normal weight, are unable to eliminate small accumulations of fat, neither with physical exercise nor with strict and sacrificial diets; but also for older people or those who are overweight.
Liposculpture allows fat to be extracted from the body while specifically shaping the area being treated. It is considered a sophisticated, artisanal and much less traumatic job.
Body-Jet Liposuction
